Illegal viagra related stuff seized in Florida warehouse
Federal agents are on the prowl for dietary supplements that purportedly enhance erection function but may in fact pose health risks. Two weeks ago, U.S. marshals seized from a Florida warehouse some $74,000 worth of Xiadafil VIP tablets, which the Food and Drug Administration says were being marketed illegally and contain an undeclared ingredient similar to the active ingredient found in Viagra, a popular erectile dysfunction medication. Another company, with FDA prodding, has recently recalled its Viapro 375-mg capsules. July also brought a voluntary recall of Rize 2 The Occasion and Rose 4 Her brand supplements. And, earlier this spring, the FDA warned consumers not to use the supplements Blue Steel and Hero.
Regulators are concerned that people may view dietary supplements that are marketed as treatments for erectile dysfunction as safe and natural, even though some are laced with prescription drugs that can cause adverse reactions when taken with other medications. Some supplements, for example, contain substances similar to those found in Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra. These so-called PDE-5 inhibitors are known to interact with nitrates, which are widely used as medications for chest pain. “You simply don’t know whether many of these supplements are laced with PDE-5 inhibitors,” says Ira Sharlip, a spokesperson for the American Urological Association.
The recent actions from the FDA are only the latest in a campaign against the illegally marketed supplements that has been ongoing since 2004

Ecstasy drug laboratory dismantled
Approximately forty police officers searched the premises on January 11 and found 44,000 ecstasy pills, 35 kilograms of bulk powder, i.e. enough to make close to 160,000 of these pills, 83,000 methamphetamine pills, 32 kilograms of bulk powder, i.e. enough to make 145,000 of these pills, 25,000 pills resembling Viagra pills, 31,000 pills resembling Cialis pills as well as a quantity of ketamine. The police officers also seized equipment used for producing designer drugs.
Pills Painted Blue
The alleged designer drug producers were unscrupulous, going as far as coating the Viagra-like pills with a blue commercial paint used on buildings to reproduce as accurately as possible genuine Viagra pills.
The RCMP officers conducted their investigation with the assistance of the Repentigny Police Service and Health Canada.
Preventing the Harm Associated with Designer Drugs
Drug enforcement is an RCMP priority. This ecstasy laboratory operation was dismantled as part of the drug enforcement mission of the RCMP, that also includes a drug awareness and prevention aspect intended for the public at large. For more information, citizens are invited to visit the RCMP Drug and Organized Crime Awareness Service Web site.

Desserts was a banana split called Viagra
The holidays are over. Schools have reopened countrywide and most South Africans are back at work with long faces and heavy hearts.
Unless they went to St Francis Bay for their Christmas break. This Eastern Cape holiday town apparently knows how to really lift one’s… err… spirit. According to one of the many websites dedicated to this little village, it has “come a long way” over the past fifty years. A long way indeed.
Die Burger this week reported how a chef at one of the local restaurants introduced a new dessert onto the menu. Between the Greek baklava and ice-cream desserts was a banana split called “Viagra”.
The owner of the Big Time Taverna, one Peri Tsiotiopoulos, said the treat was laced with Cialis, a schedule four drug usually prescribed for erectile dysfunction. According to him, the dessert had become extremely popular and in December, he had sold about 80. He told the newspaper it was “a beautiful thing” to see the men leave the restaurant “bouncing like Bambi”.
Now restaurants over the festive season can be trying places. There is the wait for a table, the bad service once you get there, not to mention the bill at the end of the night. Then you have to deal with the car guard and hope that some other customer didn’t scratch your car on his way out of the parking area.
So to have a man “bouncing like Bambi” instead of grumpy and irritable at the end of a night out might sound attractive to a lot of women I know. However, medical experts were less than impressed with the dessert, citing possible dangerous side effects.
